Sarah is a former classroom teacher with experience across multiple grade levels and content areas. She taught the Opportunity Adventure class at Westfield Village Elementary under the mentorship of Ted Wimberg. She has a passion for Social Emotional Learning, Inclusion, and fostering meaningful connections between students and consistent caring adults. Sarah also serves as the Academic Director for the UC Davis Redwood SEED Scholar program, a four-year residential, inclusive college program for students with Intellectual Disabilities.

Prior to her teaching career, Sarah was the Program Coordinator for a non-profit where she recruited and developed volunteers, managed volunteer teams, and helped plan large scale camps for children and young adults with Down Syndrome.
